Will Guesthouse Homestay offers three guest rooms, one on top of the other, built on the edge of the mountain. Each room has a little balcony with spectacular views.

We take the bottom room, down a short flight of stairs. There is a balcony with table and chairs, then sliding glass doors into the bedroom.

The accommodation at Samindra Villa is nothing short of magnificent! This accommodation is rightfully one of the best-rated accommodations in Kandy.

On arrival we are greeted by the charming owner, Sudharma and her son Enakshai, who serve cool drinks and make us feel very welcome.

Our accommodation is on the 3^rd floor of their magnificent home. We have a large open-plan living/kitchen/dining area, off which is a large terrace with wonderful views. In the living area we have sofa and chairs and a TV. At the other end of the room the kitchen has a good-sized refrigerator and a large dining table.

The Cinnamon Lodge Habarana is a beautiful hotel with lovely pool, gardens and restaurants.

We have booked one night’s accommodation at a special rate that includes buffet dinner for two and breakfast for two.

We are in Room 77 – a spacious room with tiled floors and timber furnishings – beautifully cool with air-conditioning.

We arrive in Polonnaruwa after dark and My Home Guesthouse is a little hard to find. To make matters worse, there is a power outage in the whole town – so all in darkness!

The guesthouse is accessed by a gravel road (a torch is handy) and first impressions are that it is a building site as the top floor is unfinished. However, on the ground floor there are four modern, spacious rooms available, each with private bathroom.

On arrival at the Green Palace Hotel Guesthouse we receive a very warm welcome from our hosts – Brian and his family.
