Selah is a small town in the Yakima Valley, Washington – where we chose to break our trip when driving from Seattle to Yellowstone National Park.

The Quality Inn appeared to be the best place to stay in this small town.

The Quality Inn Selah is an attractive, two-storey building in a quiet area a few minutes drive from Selah’s main street.

Room 209
We had a quick and easy check in to Room 209 on the floor above Reception. There was a large car park behind the motel and we were able to bring our luggage in through a back door into the lift.

Our room was very large with a king-size bed. There was lots of space.

Furnishings included:

  • King size bed and two bedside tables and bedside lamps
  • Good-sized timber desk
  • Chest of drawers with small flat screen TV above it

There was a small kitchenette with washing up basin, microwave, bar fridge, coffee maker (with tea bags, coffee sachets and sugar). There was no cutlery or crockery – just a couple of disposable cups.

The bathroom was made up of two sections – the main bathroom had a shower over the bath, and a toilet. Just outside the bathroom was a wash basin and an area for hanging clothes (with coat hangers, iron and ironing board).

The room was spotlessly clean. There was a small opening in our window for fresh air.

The free Wifi was excellent.

Well Located
What we noticed most at this accommodation was the peace and quiet. It was a small country town and we had no passing traffic outside our window (our room was at the back of the building).

Hotel Amenities

  • Guest laundry on the ground floor.
  • Indoor swimming pool.
  • Outside BBQ area with BBQ, table and chairs.
  • Drink dispensing machine plus ice dispenser.
  • Breakfast room – a delicious breakfast was included in our rate.
  • Large open carpark at the rear of the building.

El Caporal – Mexican Restaurant – Selah
We can recommend the local Mexican restaurant – El Caporal, 109 E Naches Ave, Selah – for a delicious dinner. It is located in Selah’s main street, just a few minutes drive from the motel.

Quality Inn Selah – Highly Recommended
We can highly recommend a stay at Quality Inn, Selah – it is well located with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms.
