The town of Agrigento is a popular place to stay for travellers visiting the Valley of the Temples. We chose to stay at La Terrazza di Carolina – a lovely small hotel located in Cortile Modica I, just Via Atenea.

Many of the small streets in the old section of Sicilian towns are for pedestrians only however the day we arrived we could park on the street just opposite the B&B. Carolina  helped us carry our luggage up the small flight of stairs into the B&B and into the spacious reception area.

Reception, La Terrazza di Carolina

As we were arriving in Agrigento too early to check in, we had made arrangements to leave our luggage while we visited the Valley of the Temples. However Marina had our rooms ready and we checked in.

We had a large room on the same floor as Reception. The room featured:

  • King sized bed, bedside tables and lamps
  • Two single beds
  • Wardrobe
  • Small desk with TV above it on the wall

There was a small bathroom featuring shower, basin, toilet, bidet and timber bench for the towels. Shampoo/shower gel and liquid soap was supplied.

French doors opened from the bedroom to a small balcony.

A delicious breakfast was served upstairs on a rooftop terrace and included large fresh croissants (pistachio, peach and plain), pastries, cereal, fruit, tea and fresh coffee.

WIFI was good.

La Terrazza di Carolina – Highly Recommended
We can highly recommend La Terrazza di Carolina – it is clean, comfortable and well located in the historic district on one of the main shopping streets – Via Atenea.
