Villa Irena has a wonderful location by the sea – with just the sea path around to Hvar Town separating the villa from the water. It was one of our favourite places to stay in Croatia.
We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and stayed on the ground floor of the villa – in a large two-bedroom apartment – Apartment 1.
Apartment 1
Our apartment featured a large bedroom with full sized bathroom plus a large open plan living/dining area opening onto a long terrace overlooking the front garden and the sea. Off the living room was a full kitchen which was very well equipped, and off the kitchen there was another outdoor area. There was also a second bedroom with ensuite.
Upstairs, on the first floor, there are two separate apartments – A2 and A3, and on the top floor is the penthouse. If there is a party of family or friends staying, they can take over the whole of the ground and first floors, and with the penthouse, the whole villa can be booked.
Apartment 2
A2 is a two-bedroom apartment with living room, kitchenette and two bathrooms. The main bedroom is a spacious room with an ensuite and side balcony overlooking trees and the sea path. The second bedroom is smaller.
The living room is light and airy and incorporates a kitchenette and dining table, and opens onto a balcony overlooking the sea plus a side balcony overlooking neighbouring trees and the sea path. There is a full sized bathroom off the living room.
A2 is light and airy with lovely views.
Apartment 3
This is the smallest of the apartments however we think it’s a good size.
Again, the living room is light and airy and has a dining table and sofa bed. The living room opens onto a balcony overlooking the front garden and the sea. There is a large bathroom off the living room.
There is a separate bedroom and small ensuite bathroom, plus a kitchenette in the passage way.
Penthouse
Villa Irena also has a penthouse apartment available.
Location
Villa Irena has a fabulous location by the sea. If you walk out the front gate you can turn left and it’s an easy 15-minute walk along the beautiful sea path to the centre of Hvar Town, or you can turn right and in a couple of minutes be sipping cocktails at the Hula Hula Bar. It’s also very easy not to go anywhere – just relax on the balcony or the sun deck and admire the view.
The configuration of Villa Irena makes it a flexible option for people travelling as a large group, a family or a couple.
